EMERYVILLE, CA (August 20, 2024) – Hinalea Imaging Corp., a leading provider of advanced hyperspectral imaging solutions announced that Nicky Deasy has joined its Board of Directors.
Ms. Deasy has extensive experience in advising high-potential agrifood and life science tech companies, incubators, and VC Funds in Europe. Currently, she sits on the boards of SOLASTA Bio, a precision crop protection company, and Sundew Bio, a biotech venture developing biological solutions for aquatic pests, diseases, and invasive species. Ms. Deasy is also a project lead for the BioInnovation Institute, an incubator that accelerates world-class life science innovation, a financial advisor for VEROVACCiNES, a developer of combi-vaccines for animal health, and serves on the Investment Committee for biotope by VIB, an impact agrifood biotech incubator.
Ms. Deasy is Founder and former Managing Partner at The Yield Lab Europe, one of the largest seed stage agrifood tech impact venture capital funds in Europe, where she headed up the life science and biotech side of the fund’s portfolio. She was also previously Associate Director at KPMG Corporate Finance where she led the Food and Beverage team, and Director of Corporate Finance at Ernst & Young, before establishing Alta Corporate Finance, which specializes in raising seed stage venture capital for life science technology companies, where she was founder and CEO.
